この商品に使用されている素材は"人工皮革"と呼ばれる合成皮革の一種で、より本革に近い質感と耐久性を追求した特殊素材です。
日本の人工皮革の製造技術は世界最高峰を誇り、近年ではそのクオリティはさらに向上しておりnimnilではこれを採用しています。
主にソファーや車のシート、財布、ランドセルなどに使用され、強度や軽さ、耐水性が求められるプロダクトで活躍しています。
軽量でありタフ、天候に左右されない撥水性、ケアや管理の手軽さ、動物愛護の観点と製造過程で端材が出にくいエコロジカルさからnimnilでは人工皮革に着目しました。
今回選んだ人工皮革は日本で製造されており、レザーの繊維を再現するため、超極細状のナイロンやポリエステル繊維を立体的に絡み合わせることでコラーゲン層を再現したサラサラした手触りの肉厚な不織生地に、ポリウレタンを浸みこませてコーティングしたものになります。
レザー内部の繊維を再現することで、より本革に近い質感、弾力等を実感頂けます。
